ORACLES: Lesson 61

I pray the light of His countenance upon you today, in Jesus’ name.

There are so many people around you looking for authentic others. There are people who are looking for someone to emulate, someone with substance, someone who is different. And that someone is you—they are looking for you to be the person God made you. For “you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God”…

Today, you represent the living God and the light of Christ: Your countenance should glow. When people look into your eyes there should be depth. When people pass by, you should radiate. They may not be able to pinpoint why the difference, but they should be convinced that there is a difference. And, from that, wonder what it is about you that attracts them, draws them, or just makes them enjoy being around you.

I’ve experienced times when strangers stare and children stop what they’re doing to look intently at me. Aside from God, I am ordinary, maybe even less than ordinary, yet with His presence, people stare because of who He is within me. I can only attribute their behavior to the God who shines forth the light of His glory. And the same is true for you!

He will shine forth His glory through your life if you will honor Him with your life. When you pursue the Lord in prayer, take in His person by reading the Bible, and follow His leading obediently, the residue of who He is will be upon you and not only will people legitimately stop to take a look at the light you emanate, but you’ll be a fragrant offering to our God in the process.

It’s a beautiful thing.
