Every morning two things happen: One, you receive new mercies and two, you receive a new opportunity to make memories and create a memoir. In the same way that you could phone a friend and laugh heartily about your shared past, you can decide today to make good memories for tomorrow.
Be intentional about your future; for example, schedule family portraits, have lunch at a new or different restaurant with family friends. If funds are challenged, invest your time in the elderly. Or, deliberately acquaint yourself with the most introverted person on your job. Maybe be creative with new recipes for one week per month or play music loudly and dance with the kids. If you walk daily try to jog this time—it will either be rewarding or just plain comical. Live, laugh and love! Do something that you can never regret but only reflect upon with joy and satisfaction.
One of the common habits two billionaires have, as observed by Paul C. Brunson was written in the Huffington Post. He said, “When you have money, your toys are big. However, the vast majority of money I saw spent on their "leisure" was on actual experiences versus the typical car, jewelry, and clothes we're familiar with seeing in music videos and gossip blogs. I recall one time at dinner with Oprah, I spotted a table of about 20 girls off to the side. I later found out Ms. Winfrey was treating some of her graduating girls from her school in South Africa to dinner in NYC. Experiences create memories, and memories are priceless.”
You don’t have to be a billionaire to make memories or create an experience! By God’s grace and daily mercies, you’re going to live in your future so it may as well be the future you create; even more, you have the ability to create something larger than you!
