ORACLES: Lesson 37

I pray your eyes remain on the promise and not on the problem, in Jesus’ name. #Amen.

There are times when things happen that prove so disappointing that it’s hard to keep your mind from rehearsing the words or images that seem forever imprinted but you will never put it behind you if you focus on it continually.

Whatever you focus on will magnify in your mind and heart. It can become so large that you can’t see an escape. Whenever problems become pervasive you must find a distraction. God’s promise is the best distraction to have. Replace the thought by meditating on the promise. Find a promise, like, “The Lord is my defense and shield” and begin thinking on what each word means. Consider how it applies in your life and even to your situation. Then begin thanking God, verbally, for being your “defense and shield” over the problem. Once you’ve managed thanksgiving, start giving praise. In other words, for the spirit of heaviness, you can turn it around when you put on the garment of praise. Isaiah 61:3

When you do, you’ll stop the power of the problem from progressing and you’ll welcome God to take His rightful place in your heart over worry, fear, anguish and torment. Don’t let your problems lord in your life. Jesus is Lord!

So lift up your eyes to the hills where your help comes from. And God will not only be very present, but He will show Himself strong on your behalf.
