ORACLES: Lesson 33

I pray your love will never quit, in Jesus’ name. #Amen.

What most people don’t realize is, love is a decision. A decision to give of yourself regardless and forever is the kind of love God demonstrated for us when He gave us His only Son, Jesus. And it’s His example of love that He expects us to show towards others.

You may have meltdown moments when you just want to be selfish—but love sacrifices. You may have conflicting moments when you’re not sure how to love anymore—but love is selfless. You may have tiring moments when you’re not sure you can love anymore—but love bears all things. 1 Corinthians says, love believes all things, hopes all things and endures all things. Which means, our choice to love another has nothing to do with a feeling and culture, television and other people’s experience and opinion should not dictate our pursuit of love or our commitment to love.

Our decision to love is in response to Christ’s love for us. Our commitment to love is in a reflection of our maturity in Christ and our resolve to love is our testimony that affects a world who cannot comprehend it.

The people you choose to love will be the people that require the most grace.
