ORACLES: Lesson 16

I pray that you stand regardless and having done all, that you stand therefore with your whole armor on, in Jesus’ name. #Amen.

Standing on your feet can be tiresome, especially when you must stand much longer than expected, like in a line or in a service/ceremony, it’s uncomfortable! Typically when that happens we tend to fidget and lean from one hip to the other. As a remedy, standing for any length of time is easier when we’re distracted by something, like a conversation, smart phone features, or anything else.

In the same way that standing for a long time, physically, is exhausting, so is standing in faith. It can be just as frustrating and onerous. An unmet expectation or a delayed promise causes all of us to fidget. Nevertheless, that is not the time to faint or weaken in your resolve! You’re closer than when you first believed!

Whether you are believing God for healing, provision, your children or anything else, God is faithful, so occupy your mind with what He said, based on Scripture, and not based on how you feel, what you’ve experienced or even what’s feared. Occupy yourself with stories that testify of His ability, infallibility, faithfulness and love. Be wise in how you distract yourself.

In the natural, if you focus on how long you’ve been standing or how tired you are of standing, you’ll feel like you’ll never sit down. Likewise, situations will be unending if you continue to articulate burdens, challenges, problems or the impossible. Whereas, when you’re focused on something else, like God’s Word, you will automatically gain stamina.

Not only will you be able to stand, but you’ll also have the endurance of Christ - “who for the joy set before Him endured the cross” (Hebrews 12:2).
