ORACLES: Lesson 13

Updated: Jan 27, 2025

“I pray strength and stamina in every area of weariness felt in life today, in Jesus’ name.”

To be weary is to be tired, mentally exhausted and fatigued. It happens after you have given of yourself in more ways than one, after you’ve made sacrifices to ensure the happiness of others, worked to secure the needs and desires of others, and after you’re still needed for more. It’s being drained. Drained of energy, motivation and interest.

Let me encourage you with the message from Paul, who said, “let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” (Galatians 6:9) None of your efforts are in vain! You may be underappreciated, undervalued and overlooked by those to whom you give of yourself the most, but God does not forget you. “God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the [children, husband, boss, mother, etc.] saints” (Hebrews 6:10)

God sees you. God sees the sacrifices you have made and continue to make. God knows—and while the reward and honor from people may be missing, it’s not missing from God. If God could honor Ruth as she made sacrifices for Naomi, He can and will honor you. So, don’t let yourself despise the work or the sacrifice, the One who counts the most sees you!!

Keep up the good work. It’s not in vain.
