“Sometimes you have to ignore ignorance. #saveurself”
As much as we try, we cannot control other people. We cannot dictate how anyone acts or how anyone should feel. And while it can sometimes be infuriating, distressing or oppressive (I call it a pollution of personal space), you cannot allow another person’s decisions influence yours. Nor should you allow their decisions to provoke you to folly or cause you to yield to the sinful nature.
When it’s all said and done, you are accountable for you and what you allow yourself to do or become will determine how far you advance in life. You are responsible for your own actions. You may feel a certain way, but you don’t have to give yourself license to act that way. In other words, you cannot win when you walk outside of love to prove something to someone else. When you stand before God you won’t be able to blame others for your behavior. You will be accountable for your own actions, based on your knowledge of His Word.
When Eve sinned, she blamed the devil. When Adam sinned, he blamed Eve. In the end, each was punished for their own decisions. No one got off because they could point to what influenced their decision! In the same way, you will not be excused, but you can be rewarded if you handle yourself according to God’s Word.
The Lord will save you when you’re humbled (Psalm 18:27). In fact, it’s written, promotion/ exaltation doesn’t come from the east or the west, neither does it come from the south, but God is the judge. He puts down one and exalts another (Psalm 75:6-7). So don’t let the enemy trick you out of the will of God for your life!
It’s easy to get sucked into another person’s issues. Be careful. You have too much to lose and everything to gain.
