ORACLES: Lesson 60

You are of great importance to God. He loves you so much that He made a point to make Himself known to you, and He continues to reveal Himself to you in ways for you to know, really know Him. His love for you was demonstrated when He gave Jesus as a ransom for your life, and His kindness is what leads you and all people towards repentance (Romans 2:4).

In response to His love and patience we can acknowledge it personally; but even more, we can share the good news we’ve received with people who don’t know the truth of the Gospel. In the way that God loves you, He loves all people—all of them. And He is “not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9). Which means, He wants those around you to know Him too—whether those are people who are nice or mean, receptive or resistant, welcoming or hostile, God loves them and wants them to know Him.

So with your relationship with God comes a responsibility to tell the people around you who you know God to be. Your experience with God is what people need to hear, and your acceptance of that role is how you honor the relationship you have with Him. You are a witness and today God is asking you to tell the Truth!

You are God’s designated ambassador, His mouthpiece and His vessel, and if you will humble yourself, you’ll be used for the noble cause of helping others grow in the grace and knowledge of God for the sole purpose of accepting His love.

No matter who you are, your little bit can add to the big picture of someone’s life change, and that’s not insignificant. That’s the cause you should strive for daily knowing that every time you share the good news of Christ, you are earning wages and gathering fruit for eternal life (John 4:36).

And I think that’s worth the sacrifice of remaining silent.
